Multi-User Environments (NT or some Windows 95 systems)
In a multi-user environment like Windows NT or some Windows 95 systems (if configured for multi-user), uninstall will remove the WebCD Viewer icons and groups from the current user's profile, but will not delete the WebCD Viewer software until the last WebCD Viewer user on the machine runs the uninstall.
For example:
User A installs a WebCD. The desktop icon, program folders, and software are
installed on the PC (see Installing the WebCD Viewer for more information on what is installed).
User B installs a WebCD. A desktop icon and program folders are set up for
User B. User B's WebCD Viewer program group points to the existing WebCD Viewer software and
help file.
User C installs a WebCD. A desktop icon and program folders are set up for
User C. User C's WebCD Viewer program group points to the existing WebCD Viewer software and
help file.
Then, at some point in the future, User B uninstalls the WebCD Viewer. The
desktop icon and program folders are removed from User B's profile.
When User A runs uninstall, User A's desktop icon and program folders are removed.
When User C runs uninstall, the desktop icon, program folders, and the WebCD Viewer software are removed from the PC.
